Successful SOLAS testing of the 6.8m tender
The custom Xtender 6.8m is designed together with Vripack (Netherlands) for an 85m Sailing Yacht to be one of the three tenders delivered by Xtenders. The tender is not only meant to be a rescue vessel but also a versatile representative tender for daily routine and guest transfers.
Unlike most rescue tenders, the self-righting system is hidden in the engine box. The absence of the righting frame improves the weight, looks and storage height of the tender.
We just finished the extensive testing of the tender. Unlike the most other SOLAS rescue boats, this one was fully operational during testing and was still running smoothly after passing the tests. See the images and video here below for more info about the testing.
